4th November 2021
The GatewayC team are delighted to announce that we have a new course ‘Cervical Cancer-Early Diagnosis’ available to all healthcare professionals on GatewayC.
Cervical cancer is the 14th most common cancer in women in the UK, with around 3,200 women diagnosed each year. Our new course supports primary care professionals to recognise the presentation of cervical cancer and covers clinical decision-making when referring patients on a suspected cancer pathway.

The course will support you to:

- Explore the role and transmission of HPV in cervical cancer and the stigma and misunderstanding that can be associated with HPV
- Increase confidence in discussing abnormal cell changes with patients and when to refer patients on a suspected cancer pathway
- Increase understanding of colposcopy investigations and effectively support patients during this process
The course should take approximately 1 hour to complete.
